Fundraising Information for Missionaries

Each year, our parish has been blessed with the opportunity to serve in-need families in the Appalachia region of West Virginia.  We travel with approximately 90 teenagers, 10 college students and 40-50 adult leaders to complete 20+ job site projects over the course of five days.  The mission trip is no small undertaking and it typically requires a budget of $50-60,000.  


Raising money to reach this fundraising goal is a team effort!   Our financial resources come from multiple sources including fundraising and contributions.  Keep in mind that everyone – those who join the trip and those who contribute funds for the trip – are partners in making a difference to the individuals whom we serve in West Virginia.


The following are requirements for registration fee and fundraising for all student missionaries: While having your parents pay this fee is an option, we strongly encourage students to take ownership of the fundraising efforts to meet these goals.  We suggest finding ways to earn the funds or solicit donations from others.


$250 registration paid as follows:

  • $50 at time of registration

  • $200 Balance


Additional minimum $50 fundraising

  • A fundraising page is being established and all missionaries will be able to send a link to friends and family to help reach this goal.  Donations will be tracked and credited to each missionary.  Many past participants far exceed this minimum.

  • Find a sponsor to place an advertisement on our Appalachia Mission trailer.  The ad will provide great exposure of the company or business within our community.  Specific details on placing an ad on the trailer can be provided upon request.


Attend one fundraising event


  • Each student missionary is expected to attend at least one fundraising event to foster community and participate in the fundraising efforts as a team. 

  • We will offer various opportunities to raise money from December through May, beginning with a pepperoni roll sale in December.  Further details for other fundraising will be presented in the January meeting.

Pepperoni Sale

Order due date: Wednesday, November 28th

Order delivery date: Wendesday, December 12th

Pepperoni rolls sell for $14, money must be collected and turned in with the order form on November 28th. 


Passion toward the mission is furthered by your fundraising enthusiasm.  We encourage you to exceed the minimum requirements.  We will have a nice reward for the missionary who raises the most funds.
